VIDEO-BASED TRAINING SYSTEM 
 

Scenarios can be played in any order, and up to five scenarios can be programmed into memory. Thus every officer cycling through the range can receive the same instructor-selected training.

Reaction time is displayed on the screen, and immediate replays are run at regular speed or in slow motion for detailed analysis of the judgment call and accuracy of shot placement.

Following each scenario, still images of the relevant tr5aining points and key frames of the video can be viewed on the screen at the touch of a button. 

The CAPS DVD system  offers long-range judgment training with live ammunition at distances up to 150 yards.

Sniper/Observer teams can work together on realistic problems to test their judgment, shot placement, and reaction time.

A  range compensation program freezes the image at the precise instant the bullet hits the screen regardless of range distance or bullet velocity.

CAPS systems are supplied with over 800 pre-recorded scenarios covering all aspects of law enforcement, from vehicle stops and domestic disputes to active shooter situations. These scenarios are included in the price of the system and are not “an extra” as is the case with most of the high-tech systems.

CAPS systems are sound-activated and as such, all firearms from handgun to rifle can be used for live-fire training without requiring any modification or add-on.  In addition, the CAPS system can be used for force- continuum training with all other force options.

While primarily designed to be used with live ammunition on the range, all CAPS systems can also be used with low velocity munitions in the classroom, if a range is not available.

To supplement the built-in CAPS speaker system an on-board audio transmitter broadcasts the sound of the scenario directly to receivers housed in the hearing protection headset worn by the trainee. Audio quality is thus maintained while offering excellent hearing protection. 

CAPS DVD systems are housed in their own rugged containers, are mounted on wheels, and weigh 100 pounds.

They can be quickly set up on any range -- indoor, outdoor or mobile range trailer -- all that is required is a power source and a means of keeping light off the screen.

A white paper screen is mounted on a light-weight wooden frame, which can be set up or dismantled in less than ten minutes. Bullet holes in the screen are patched with white tape.

No dedicated range is necessary for live-fire training, and no special room is required for classroom training.
